Camp Cool Environment registration is open!


What?

  • Join us for seven weeks of themed activities focusing on nature, science, and the arts. Kids enjoy summer days filled with indoor & outdoor fun, arts & crafts, games, and creative projects.
  • This summer’s Camp Director is once again Jewel “Ducky” Soroka.
  • We are excited to welcome back Andrew Berenguer in his fourth year as Assistant Camp Director.
  • Campers bring lunch each day.
  • Snacks are provided daily.

Who?

Campers: Entering 3rd-6th grades. No exceptions can be made for younger children. Click below for camp brochure/registration form.

When?

  • June 30 – August 15, 2025
  • 9am – 4pm (Beforecare and aftercare is available for a small fee from 8-9am and 4-5p if needed. Before/aftercare fee is listed on the brochure/registration form.)

Where?

  • The lower level of the Reformed Church of Highland Park, 19 South 2nd Avenue

Cost?

$300 per week. Beforecare is $25/week and aftercare is $25/week. Drop-in rate for beforecare or aftercare is $6/each. Special discounts are available! See the notes in the calendar below to see how you can take advantage of special offers.

Camp tuition must be paid in full four weeks before a camper’s first day of camp. No refunds will be issued if a cancellation is made within three weeks of a camper’s first day of camp.

The first week of camp is $240 because camp will be closed July 4th. Beforecare or aftercare the first week of camp is $20.

Camp Cool Environment Calendar for 2025

Week 1: 6/30-7/3 Games, Game, Games (No camp 7/4) The campers will kick off camp by learning about different kinds of games from around the world. . . and by creating and playing games they create over the week.

This is a short week due because camp will be closed on July 4th and July 5th, but it won’t be short on fun! Regular cost: $240.

“Early Bird” Special: Pay in full by April 1st and the cost is $216. “Not As Early Early Bird” Special: Pay in full by April 15th and the cost is $225.

Week 2: 7/7-7/11 Dinosaur Days The campers will learn all about dinosaurs this week, including what the different dinosaurs ate, the size of the largest dinosaur and of the smallerst, the kinds of dinosaurs lived in NJ, and more.

Week 3: 7/14-7/18 Weather Week The kids will learn all about weather and meterology this week, including some of the wackiest weather events over the past several years.

Week 4: 7/21-7/25 Art Week It’s time for the kids to get creative! The campers will create different kinds of art this week, with a focus on using recyclable/repurposed materials.

Regular cost: $300.

Week 6: 8/4-8/8 Coast to Coast This week, the campers will learn fun facts about the United States and some of the amazing sights that can be seen in our country, from the Grand Canyon to the Largest Ball of Yarn.
Regular cost: $300.

Week 7: 8/11-8/15 Eye on the Environment The campers will close out the summer session by learing about ways they can help keep the planet healthy.
Regular cost: $300.
